We are very much a family here at the Birchington Baptist Church, who love each other and endeavour to support one another in every way we can.  We have a small but dedicated team of people, called by God in to the pastoral care ministry.

The team was set up over thirteen years ago primarily to support our Pastor in his ministry to care for our congregation, both members and non-members.

"Love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another"
John 13:34

"Carry each others burdens and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ"
Galatians 6:2

We had God’s heart to ‘carry each other’s burdens’ and, with our fellowship growing, we wanted to ensure none amongst us went unnoticed or unsupported in their need, be it spiritual, physical or practical.

With Pastor Glyn, we share the responsibility of care for our fellowship as a whole, but we pray intentionally for the members under our own individual ‘pastoral umbrella’ and strive to establish closer relationships with each of them.

The team meets together once a month to support each other, to share both concerns and good news and to pray for our Pastor and our church family.
