WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE BELIEVE
WELCOMING
The first thing you will receive after entering our church doors will be a warm welcome. Our “welcomers” will guide you and make you feel very much at home.
“All ages” are welcome and will be made to feel like part of the church family. Our building is access friendly for those who struggle with their mobility via and entrance and exit to the left side of the front main entrance.
PASSIONATE
We are passionate about many things as church, none more so than to see God glorified in us, through us and the lives of those around us. We areapassionate about evangelism, mission and being an instrument of Good to the town of Birchington.
PRAYERFULL
Prayer is not the least we can do it is the most. God and God alone can enact true and lasting change in the situations around us and within us. Therefore, we Pray, and pray continually for the redemption of those who are lost, restoration and healing for those who are sick, those who are oppressed and suffering injustice in our town and beyond.
WORSHIP
Our church values the traditional but wants to embrace the new and expand our musical repertoire. Our music is led by a band comprising Keyboard/piano (many of our pianists are well-known and accomplished), Guitars, Bass and Vocals. Soon we hope to introduce a Cajon (drum box) to our lineup soon.
BIBLE BASED
Below, in blue, are some of the foundation beliefs that we cling to as believers in Christ. Our name, BBC, does not just stand for “Birchington Baptist Church” but “Bible Based Church”, and that is what we are.
We believe and try our best to honour god by studying and applying his word, which is good for all things pertaining to faith and practice in our lives – B.I.B.L.E.

PERSUASION
We are a group of conservative evangelicals with a charismatic twist. Although we are a mixed bag of believers from different denominations, we are a Baptist church and a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
– We believe in baptism by full immersion.
– We do not perform same-sex marriages
OUR CORE

The one true God who lives eternally in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling. redeeming and judging the world.

The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
